I love Drug Rep Dinners

So tonight Korina invited me (or I invited myself) to a drug rep dinner at Ruth Chris… yeah I'm not about to skip out on a free dinner at Ruth Chris! Anyways we came in just a tiny bit late than scheduled that we missed out on half the lecture. But no harm done we still had some amazing food. For starters I had some Caesar salad and for the main course blackened steak tuna that was cooked in perfection:RAW hmm just how I like it. Its almost like ahi tuna but uncut with side of cream of spinash and mash potatoes. As for dessert NY cheesecake with berries. Hmm delish

Phil: back in jacksonville

got back home about 5am after dropping off efleda to the airport and i pretty much passed out after that. of course, i'm not asleep for long since i have band practice and tons of errands to run before i can relax. my laptop got hit with a virus over the road trip so im on efledas laptop while i reformat (again).

So Phil has been driving since we left New Orleans and he has no intentions of stopping to switch. I think I'm quite alright with that. I will just keep him company. I have to say I'm a pretty good copilot (I don't fall asleep… maybe only once or twice). We also just took one of those 5 hour shot drinks so that will keep us up for a while.

We are 87 miles away from Jacksonville but we are just driving through it

Oh by the way my car is kinda 'pimp' out. We got an entertainment system set up. We are using Phil's blackberry to watch transformers 2 and we hooked up the sound system via tape deck. Oh and Phil detailed my car at the gas station (just by cleaning the windows)

I had Publix subs for the first time after 4 months … it was quite disappointing. Just coz they didn't have the white bread and they had to replace it with Cuban bread at the bakery. It wasn't the same. It kinda ruined the whole dynamic of the Publix subs; either way the subs was still good. It satisfied my Publix subs fix

Efleda: the douche of the party

So we stopped somewhere in houston to get coffee at a gas station. As we were leaving, efleda decides to unnecessarily block an entire street to get to the other side of the road.

Prior to that, our amazing GPS led us onto an automatic toll highway complete with scanners and cameras with no "EZ Pass". I felt we committed some type of felony or something after passing three or so cameras with smiles on our faces. I REALLY hope the state of texas has my pearly whites on file.

But that's not all.

Checking out of the hotel, the frontdesk attendant had his fly wide open but efleda didn't have the heart to say anything in fear of embarrassing him not realizing that it will now be a butterfly effect in his pants. I wonder how many guests will see his open fly before someone has the nerve to say something.

We are sorry Texas for our wave of destruction through your massive state.

We just left artesia, new Mexico and are now headed to the carlsbad caverns! Artesia was just a quick rest stop since we drove about 10 hours yesterday.

This city is surprisingly bigger than I expected. They actually have an international airport, china king, a mall, etc. I kinda imagined this city with just 2 buildings and a diner but I guess I was mistaken

At a rest area

We're on state road 285 heading towards Carlsbad Cavern. We will most likely retire at Artesia, a city a few miles south of Roswell. I haven't sited any UFOs but I'm keeping a look out. Got my camera and video ready!

By the way the sky is AMAZING! The night is clear the road is dark and you can actually see the sky just full of stars. Stars that you can't see in the city. So we got excited that we actually stopped on the side of the road and poke our heads out the moon roof of the car. it felt like we were in a planetarium or something. I wish I had some type of camera just to capture how spectacular the starry night looked.

Oh and we saw a jack rabbit at the rest stop. He looks so cute.
